Dispersed dry salt aerosol in the breathing air of an enclosed room — a genuine, dosable airborne intervention with a real but thin literature, largely Eastern European and concentrated on respiratory indications. The family's cleanest example of a plausible intervention whose literature has never been assembled to a standard that lets anyone conclude much.

Claimed mechanism
Inhaled dry salt aerosol claimed to benefit respiratory conditions (asthma, COPD, bronchitis).
Real but thin. A systematic review of halotherapy for COPD (Rashleigh 2014, DOI 10.2147/COPD.S57511) retrieved 151 articles and found only one RCT admissible, with baseline imbalances and missing medication data. An asthma review (PMC8623171) reports an overall positive adjuvant signal with no adverse events but a mixed design pool and calls for larger studies; Romanian/Chervinskaya-tradition primary work (PMC4391365) is small and uncontrolled. ⚠ PMC identifiers to be confirmed at build.
A real, dosable suspended-phase intervention in inhaled air — membership in the atmosphere family is by carrier (what the body breathes), not by whether the agent is a gas.
